Somokjang means carpenter who made of wood furniture. If Daemokjang produces buildings such as houses or temples, it makes house's suff such as wardrobe, box, as well as various farming implements, carts and palanquin.

Pine trees are the most common tree in mountainous areas across the country, and grow well everywhere. Pine wood is hard and does not decay and does not form, curl, or crack.
